Yanked: Johnny Depp Biggie Smalls Murder Movie “Town of Lies” Won’t Open Sept. 7th as Planned
Johnny Depp just got some more bad news. “Area of Lies” about the Biggie Smalls murder has become yanked within the schedule by its distributor.
Global Road has suddenly pulled the film, which co-star Forest Whitaker, from the September 7th window. Daft was presented with.
The film directed by Brad Furman has 20 producer credits. It’s unclear if the cancellation has something to with Depp’s problems or something regarding the film itself.
“Payday loan lenders Lies” is dependent on a novel by Randall Sullivan called “Labyrinth: The actual Story of Personal loan companies Lies, the Murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. and the Implication of your La Police Department.”
Depp and Whitaker play detectives who investigated the murders of Christopher “Biggie” Wallace and Tupac Skakur.
Depp requires a good movie right. His career is really a mess aside from “Pirates within the Caribbean” movies. He hasn’t stood a non-Pirate hit in years. His resume is full of utter flops. To counterbalance the problem, he’s taken a role in the sequel to “Fantastic Beasts” coming this fall. But it’s not the lead, or maybe the second role.
“Area of Lies” is either so bad not wearing running shoes can’t be released, or there’s suddenly some legal problem. Stay tuned…
