Respect for Aretha: Fans Put 18 Singles, 17 Albums with the Queen of Soul On iTunes Charts

It’s been a tough day. But this news is gratifying.

Fans have put 18 singles and 17 albums by Aretha Franklin about the iTunes charts.

Aretha is now holding down the top 4 positions on the singles charts. “Respect” is top.

On the album chart, she’s got many different albums with a greatest hits package at number one and her most popular gospel album, “Amazing Grace,” at number 5.

The top four singles include “Respect,” “Natural Woman,” “I believe that somewhat Prayer,” and “Chain of Fools.”

Two of her finest, “Ain’t No Way” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” are usually from the best players. New fans will look to get a great record from 1974 called “Without Love,” created by her sister Carolyn and covered 2 years later by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.

Aretha’s favorite ballad was “Sweet Bitter Love,” because it’s worth a listen.
