Carrie Fisher Will probably be Featured in “Rope IX” as Princess Leia Using Existing Footage
Despite her tragic death in December 2016, Carrie Fisher will probably be featured within the last “Star Wars” movie.
LucasFilm and Disney obviously reached a contract with Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd. I have been told some months ago Lourd wouldn’t want J.J. Abrams to cobble together a Leia-like CGI character for the movie.
But, you recognize, money and Hollywood prevail. Maybe it’s beneficial to the closure of your series. Mark Hamill is going to be back as Luke Skywalker, and his awesome character is in fact dead.
You may recall that the government financial aid June 2017 Hamill smiled and told me the script for Chapter 9 really aimed at Leia.
Here’s a state word:
“Finding a really satisfying conclusion into the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We have been not going to recast, or work with a CG character,” director J.J. Abrams said in a statement. “With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found ways to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.”
