Geoffrey Owens Lands Recurring Role From Tyler Perry

If you need a feel great story amidst the nonstop onslaught of soul-crushing reality, at this point is one. Earlier while in the week, we talked about about Geoffrey Owens,?The Cosby Show?alumnus who had also been spotted working in a Trader Joe’s between acting gigs. Pictures of Owens practical went viral, and led to many more during the entertainment industry showing their support, and sharing their own individual stories of working day jobs before (and sometimes during!) their in time Hollywood.
The publicity landed Owens a meeting on?Good Morning America, where he explained that?while he was in a position to work he didn’t prefer to you need to be handed an acting gig owing to his situation. “I actually wouldn’t idea someone giving us a job because happened,” he stated. “I would like to get an occupation because I’m the suitable person for this job.”
Well around that same time Tyler Perry tweeted this:
Perhaps Owens’ feelings to the matter?changed, because?TMZ?reports Owens is currently joining Perry’s hit series,?The Have plus the Have Nots. Better yet, they have over a one-off guest appearance. He’ll reportedly contain a recurring role and are visible on ten episodes this upcoming season.
This is a plus news around (except maybe for Trader Joe’s; they’ve got to lease result-oriented people). Owens’ handled this entire situation very well, and good on Tyler Perry for attracting this talented actor and giving him a position. I know he’ll generate a fine performance.
