The next?Fantastic Beasts sequel isn’t only giving us an early Dumbledore with Jude Law; we’re receiving a peek in an every?younger?sort of the beloved eventual Hogwarts headmaster. Creates this change mean J.K. Rowling is?finally showing us gay Dumbledore falling for Grindelwald?

The final trailer for?Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald?doesn’t reveal an excessive amount more as much as the sequel’s plot, but you will find a?trio of exciting character reveals. Inside the second movie, Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander is inspired to hunt down Grindelwald (Johnny Depp, sadly) after his escape at the conclusion of the the first?Harry Potter spinoff. Law’s Dumbledore tells Newt he can’t “move against Grindelwald.” Why? Well, for no reason exactly know the details yet, nonetheless the trailer finally acknowledges Albus’ tortured history using the evil wizard inside a bit of a flashback.

As?Dumbledore checks the Mirror on the Erised, he sees a good?younger sort of?himself affectionately touching hands with Jamie Campbell Bower’s Gellert Grindelwald, whom we first met in The Deathly Hallows Pt. 1.?Director David Yates states Dumbledore will not be “explicitly gay” during the new movie, even so the optimist inside me is basically hoping Rowling finally explores the two main wizard’s romantic history inside the third film.

But that isn’t really the only reveal! Can you spot that woman who transforms in to a snake inside the trailer? That’s Nagini! In the new prequel, mounted in 1927, Nagini is part of the traveling Circus Arcanus, which Ezra Miller’s Credence has become portion of. Kim told?EW about playing another side of Nagini:

In this, she’s a great and vulnerable woman who wishes to live. Sherrrd like to keep an individual and I think this is a wonderful contrast to the character.

But being aware we all know through the?Potter books, we won’t see Nagini in?human?form for too long. Kim revealed more info on her the blood curse and her character’s potential magical?abilities:

She will definitely [permanently] transform at some point towards a beast so she gets this pressure which the clock is ticking. [-] She has powers that happen to be not yet been explored. I can not confirm my wife powers like wizards have.
